In order to connect your Instagram to the StreamLadder Content Publisher, it is mandatory to have a Professional Account and connect your account to a Facebook Business Page. This is a crucial requirement from the Meta/Facebook API.
Step 1: Switch to a Professional Account on Instagram
Open Instagram and navigate to your profile.
Tap on the menu icon (☰ three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner and select Settings and privacy.
Scroll down and choose Account type and tools.
Tap Switch to Professional Account. Instagram will guide you through a setup process.
Select your account type:
🏢 Business Account: Ideal for brands, companies, or services.
🎯 Creator Account: Great for influencers, content creators, and individuals focusing on personal branding.
Complete the setup, including selecting your category (e.g., Artist, Blogger, Business) and filling in any necessary business contact information.
✅ Finish setup and confirm that you now have a Professional account.
Step 2: Link Your Instagram Account to a Facebook Page
Go to your Instagram profile and tap Edit Profile.
Scroll down and look for the Public business information section.
Tap Page and select a Facebook Page to connect.
➕ If you don’t have a Page yet: Create a New Facebook Page through Instagram during this process.
✅ Confirm the connection to link your Instagram and Facebook accounts.
