Why you're seeing this error
Instagram caps how many posts an account can publish through apps like StreamLadder. Once you pass 50, Instagram rejects the upload at the final step and you see "post limit reached".
This is Instagram's restriction, not ours. A few things worth knowing:
A carousel counts as one post, no matter how many clips are in it.
Posts from other scheduling tools connected to the same account count too.
The window rolls. There is no midnight reset. Each post frees its slot exactly 24 hours later, so a burst of 50 at 3pm blocks you until 3pm tomorrow.
Reconnecting the account does not reset anything. The counter lives on Instagram's side.
What you can do
Wait, then hit Retry. Failed posts are not sent again automatically. Once the window has moved, open the post in the Content Publisher and click Retry.
Post it manually instead. Manual uploads from the Instagram app do not count toward this limit.
Go to your Exports tab.
Find the clip you want to post.
Click Download and save it to your device.
Upload it through the Instagram app.
How to avoid it
Spread your posts out. Three or four an hour keeps you under the cap all day.
If you run several channels, connect a separate Instagram account for each. The 50 is per account, so two accounts means two pots.
A different error, same symptom
If posts fail with no quota message at all, Meta runs a second budget that scales with your recent engagement. Small and new accounts get a small allowance. It usually clears within a few hours.
